Filter Paper (Grade 55)

Ahlstrom Grade 55 quantitative filter papers are ashless, lead free, chemically resistant to strong acids and alkali solutions, and are made with 100% cotton linters. Used in triaxial shear strength, flexible-wall permeability, and other soil testing procedures, Grade 55 paper acts as both a prefilter and filter strip, preventing intrusion of soil samples into the porous stone and expediting testing times.

This fast-filtering, high-purity paper has increased wet strength and a smooth surface free of loose fibers. It has 15µm retention, a filtration speed of 220ml/min, and meets multiple ASTM and AASHTO standards. The circular filters are pre-cut and available in a package of 100.
