- Consolidation Load Frames (Pneumatic) use the reliable and accurate CONBEL® system for precise application and maintenance of force regardless of sample deformation. The user’s compressed air source is controlled through a precision regulator to generate instant loads with no impact. These devices are comparatively insensitive to forces from shock or inertia and accept Consolidometers from any manufacturer up to 7.25in (184mm). Capacities, based on use of a 2.5in (63.5mm) Consolidometer, are 16, 32, and 64tsf (1,532, 3,064 and 6,129kPa).
- Consolidation Load Frame (Dead-Weight) generates loads using mechanical levers and hanging weights. This device is simple and efficient to use, offering an economical method for accurate, repeatable testing. The counterbalanced beam assembly features beam ratios of 9:1, 10:1 and 11:1 for optimum versatility when loading. Weight Sets are available in several capacities in English or metric units and are purchased separately. One Weight Set is required for proper operation.
